(from amazon.jp):

Osamu Tezuka created illustrations for the first episode, "Go, Punja's Child" for Isao Tomita's LP record "Symphonic Poem: Jungle Emperor"

This book was produced based on those illustrations. The author says, "This is the part that contains my feelings the most" about this first story, which continues Punja's activities and death, Leo's birth, and the journey to Africa.
