Hyakkimaru is boy befallen and surrounded by tragedy. Before he was born, his father Daigo aspires to rule Japan and does so by making a pact with 48 majin. His side of the bargain? 48 of the body parts of his soon-to-be born son. Hyakkimaru, now a disfigured and horrid looking infant that can no longer be called human, is cast away by his family. Years later, Hyakkimaru, now a young man, makes it his life goal to hunt down the 48 majin and restore his body parts, having already gained some by the time we see him. Along this journey, he comes across a brat in danger who goes by Dororo. After being rescued, Dororo becomes a pest that Hyakkimaru can't seem to shake. With Dororo's cunning, and Hyakkimaru's wit, the two head off into a long and perilous journey.

It is an action-adventure drama inspired by Robert Louis Stevenson's book. This is the redone version for the Tezuka 400 Complete Works. When time came to collect NTI for the Complete Works, Tezuka had promised that All of his works would get collected, but the original version was presumed lost.Tezuka, wishing to keep on his promise, decided to redraw the entire manga from memory. Tezuka also did Picture Books in addition to Manga. Unfortunately, these were not collected under the original Manga Complete Works but were reprinted by Kawade Shobo as a 4 Volume set. These are Picture Books based on Fairy Tales his Mother told to him as a child (from fukkan.com and TezukaOsamu.net): When Osamu Tezuka was a child, his mother told him many stories. This picture book series was born from those memories. ...4 wonderful stories: Burn, Dragon! (もえよドラゴン, Moeyo Dragon) 1981 - A princess is kidnapped by a bad knight, but a righteous dragon rescues her... Sweater Frenzy (セーターさわぎ, Seta Sawagi) 1983 - A witch and animals living in a forest in the middle of winter compete for a woolen sweater they found in the forest. The reason is that it was bitterly cold that winter. That is why the witch and the animals wanted to wrap themselves in the sweaters and get snug. But while they were fighting for the sweaters, the yarn frayed and was ruined. What should they do? Sleeping Beauty (いばら姫, Ibarahime) 1985 - This is a well-known Grimm's fairy tale in Japan under the title of "Ibarahime". This is a faithful adaptation of the original without any particular alterations by Osamu Tezuka. Sky-Flying Rabi (空とぶラビ, Sora Tobu Rabi) 1988 - Rabbi is an energetic but very wimpy little rabbit. One day, Rabbi was being chased by a mean fox. After running and running and running, Rabbi runs deep into the forest where he meets a mysterious dwarf. The dwarf tells Rabbi, "Give me your tail and I will make you fly." Rabbi gives up his tail to escape from the fox, and the dwarf makes him fly. The animals in the forest see the flying rabbit, and want to fly too, so they rush to the dwarf.

This Manga deals with parenting, depicting the daily lives of mangaka Ohsamu Tetsuro, who strongly resembles Tezuka Osamu himself, and his family. The story begins with the birth of his first son. The son is named Makoto (nicknamed Mako) and grows to be a healthy 2 year-old, basking in the love of his orderly mother and careless father. The son is followed by two daughters named Rumiko (nicknamed Rumi) and Chiiko (nicknamed Chii). This story focuses on the increasing hustle and bustle inside the Ohsamu family. Also includes the 4-koma work "Sorry, Mama": The lively day-to-day family life of the young boy Yabo Onishi, his mother, and his father. Frequently, they are tempted by their desires (represented as their other selves, with devil horns and tails), and sometimes, against their better judgment, they may fall to them. But above all, they value family the most.Volume 273 of the Osamu Tezuka Complete Works

This is a collection of short stories that Tezuka wrote about transformation and its many forms.(from DMP): The world is nothing but a series of metamorphoses, from changing who you are internally to be a better person to the actual act of growing from a baby to an adult to the elderly. In the world of Osamu Tezuka, transformations show the darkness of humanity. One machine turns humanity's cast-offs into easily-hunted prey. A dancing farmer is turned into a put-upon vagrant only supported by his cat. A giant oaf turns out to be the sweetest and effeminate best friend you could hope for.Volume 88 of the Osamu Tezuka Complete Works

Michio Yuki has it all: looks, intelligence, a pedigree as the scion of a famous Kabuki family, a promising career at a major bank, legions of female admirers. But underneath the sheen of perfection lurks a secret with the power to shake the world to its foundations.During a boyhood excursion to one of the southern archipelagos near Okinawa, Yuki barely survived exposure to a poison gas stored at a foreign military facility. The leakage annihilated all of the island’s inhabitants but was promptly covered up by the authorities, leaving Yuki as an unacknowledged witness—one whose sense of right and wrong, however, the potent nerve agent managed to obliterate. Now, fifteen years later, Yuki is a social climber of Balzacian proportions, infiltrating the worlds of finance and politics by day while brutally murdering children and women by night—perversely using his Kabuki-honed skills as a female impersonator to pass himself off as the women he’s killed. His drive, however, will not be satiated with a promotion here and a rape there. Michio Yuki has a far more ominous objective: obtaining MW, the ultimate weapon that spared his life but robbed him of all conscience. There are only two men with any hope of stopping him: one, a brilliant public prosecutor who struggles to build a case against the psychopath; the other, a tormented Catholic priest, Iwao Garai, who shares Yuki’s past—and frequently his bed.Official EnglishVolumes 301-303 of the Osamu Tezuka Complete Works

A collection of one-shots done during the 1970s, all regarding some aspect of Tezuka's early life. Includes a reflection of his time at the famous Tokiwa-so.Record of the Life of Gachaboy (がちゃぼい一代記, Gachaboy Ichidaiki, ALT. ENG. - The God of Manga): A reflection on Tezuka's career up to that point. Tezuka encounters the God of Manga right after the war, who nicknames Tezuka "Gachaboy". He is determined to see Tezuka become a great mangaka, no matter what - and restore manga's presence in Japan.Paper Fortress (紙の砦, Kami no Toride): Right at the end of the war, Tezuka is doing manga in private in high school. He meets a girl who fully understands his situation, and they get along well. In a society where manga, dancing, and even informal relationships are forbidden, how will Tezuka, crazy about manga, keep on?Hungry Blues (すきっ腹のブルース, Sukippara no Blues): Directly following Paper Fortress, Tezuka is now a hungry, desperate student with little luck on his path in manga. Things change when he comes across a young lady who works for a newspaper, and he manages to land a serial for it. However, in an era rife with turmoil and starvation, Tezuka's own stomach may prove to be a serious intrusion in not just his manga-making career, but his very life.Tokiwa-so Monogatari (トキワ荘物語, ENG. - The Tale of Tokiwa-so): Part of a series recounting memories within the famous apartment complex, Tezuka showcases its history through commentary from the building itself! The Letter that Came (という手紙がきた, Toiu Tegami ga Kita): Tezuka receives an ominous letter that may put him in hot water.Animal Tsurezuregusa (動物つれづれ草, Doubutsu Tsurezuregusa): Two reflections on animals Tezuka had encountered in his early years - the first a horse, the second two tanuki. An excerpt of Dotsuitare featuring Tezuka is also included at the end. This excerpt is a compilation of scenes/segments of Tezuka's scenes.Animal Tsurezuregusa won the 21st Bungeishunju Manga Award in 1975, along with Tezuka's, very famous, BuddhaVolume 274 of the Osamu Tezuka Complete Works

To learn about his roots, Sharaku must investigate the mysterious ruins that a long-lost civilization called the Three-Eyed Ones bequeathed to him. In his worldwide search, which takes both him and Chiyoko Wato to locations like Arizona, Easter Island, and Mexico, Sharaku deciphers ancient scriptures and uses gadgets he invents to help solve (or start) problems and mysteries.Sharaku is frequently bullied for his childishness, and as such the story is also about how he fights back when the x-shaped bandage that covers his third eye is removed. Behind the bandage is hidden Sharaku's malicious third eye, and the boy's hidden evil genius emerges when it can see. Sharaku's rivalries with teachers or students are occasionally developed into major plot points.Won the 1st Kodansha Manga Award for Shonen in 1977, which it shared with Tezuka's other serial, Black JackVolumes 101-113 of the Osamu Tezuka Complete Works

Seinen (and one Josei) One-shot compilation focusing on insincerity, revenge, and the two-faced nature of men.Includes the following:The Record of Peter Kürten (ペーター・キュルテンの記録, Peter Kürten no Kiroku, ALT. ENG. - The Tale of Peter Kürten) - Manga biography on the infamous serial killer also known by the moniker "The Vampire of Düsseldorf". Peter Kürten, a former prisoner-of-war, forms an idealistic couple with his wife and is a devoted unionist at meetings. In actuality he is a sexually perverted serial killer nicknamed the Vampire of Düsseldorf who taunts the police with escalating murders. After one of the murders, the police force a fake confession from another man, causing Peter to angrily reveal the truth to his wife, who gives him up to the police. At trial it is revealed that Peter is actually a criminal with a history of incest, bestiality, arson, and murder. When his lawyer tries to defend him by claiming madness, Peter angrily exclaims that his actions are revenge against the bourgeois. Peter is executed by guillotine. (Tezuka based the story on the work of Shunsuke Tsurumi)Sensual Nights (もの憂げな夜, Monouge na Yoru) - A wealthy Japanese playboy visits Vietnam to seduce a woman who has supposedly stopped aging while waiting for her sweetheart who was taken away by soldiers. As he is in the middle of preparing to have sex with her, his contact tells him that the woman's man was taken away by the Japanese army during the Pacific War, causing a deep hatred of Japanese people in her. He panics, but recovers when the woman reacts by offering him her body. When she fights back against his attempts at intimacy, he tells her that her lover is likely dead and forces himself on her. The man then sees a sight of a wrinkled old woman that startles him so much he jumps out of the window. The woman he had seduced was actually the daughter of the unaging woman and her sweetheart, and his contact was her fiancé.Lord Iechika Mogami (最上殿始末, Mogami-dono Shimatsu) - Piipii, a meager farmer, dreams of being a samurai so he can support his wife and their four children. One day he is employed by a lord to be his double, and Piipii's family is secretly killed. Piipii trains to be a lord, grooming and dressing himself to be the spitting image of the lord. As a test, the lord tells him to give the order to open the castle gates. Piipii rides back to visit his family, only to learn about their deaths. On the lord's wedding day, his double is supposed to replace him during the wedding ceremony to protect him from any attempts on his life. The year is 1949. Crushed by the Allied Powers, occupied by General MacArthur’s armies, Japan has been experiencing massive change. Agricultural reform is dissolving large estates and redistributing plots to tenant farmers—terrible news, if you’re landowners like the archconservative Tenge family. For patriarch Sakuemon, the chagrin of one of his sons coming home alive from a P.O.W. camp instead of having died for the Emperor is topped only by the revelation that another of his is consorting with “the reds.” What solace does he have but his youngest Ayako, apple of his eye, at once daughter and granddaughter?Official EnglishVolumes 197-199 of the Osamu Tezuka Complete Works

A work that was not collected in the Tezuka 400 released in 1978 due to Tezuka losing the originals. Was finally collected after over 40 years by Fukkan. By the god of manga, Osamu Tezuka, based on the script of the genius Hisashi Sakaguchi. Enjoy the charm of the original manga, which is different from the movie! The manga version of the second Animerama film "Cleopatra" by Osamu Tezuka, the god of manga, and Hisashi Sakaguchi, the genius scriptwriter. Since its publication in October 1970 as a "COM extra issue" (published by Mushi Pro), it has been difficult to obtain a copy for a long time. Animerama is the name given to anime films produced by Osamu Tezuka and Mushi Pro. The term was coined by Tezuka to mean "Animation & Drama," "Animation & Cinerama," and "Animation & Panorama," and the following three films are often referred to as the "Animerama Trilogy. One Thousand and One Nights Cleopatra Belladonna of Sadness All were billed as "anime for adults" at the time of their release. In addition, at the time of publication, the front of this volume contains a blurb by Osamu Tezuka, which reads as follows: By taking out gags that could only be shown in the film, and detailing the context behind the characters and the period, I tried to have it be a work anyone can enjoy - those who have and haven't seen the film. Don't miss this rare opportunity!

His hate is such that the gods intervene, cursing Shogo to experience love throughout the ages ultimately to have it ripped from his heart every time. From the Nazi atrocities of World War II to a dystopian future of human cloning, Shogo loses his heart, in so doing, healing the psychic scars of his childhood hatred.Chapter 6. A Tezuka One-Shot that was included in the Complete Works release of Apollo's Song but not included in either English release of Apollo's Song. A work that was not collected in the Tezuka 400 released in 1978 and a work that remained uncollected for many years. Shogakukan Creative released a collection containing Yajiuma March as well as the serialization versions of The Secret of Piron and Adventure Broadcasting Station. (from fukkan.com) The first reprint of a fantastic excavated work that no one has ever seen! The Shogakukan grade school magazine is also known as a hidden treasure of masterpieces. Osamu Tezuka, who had made his debut in the magazine alongside the great prewar mangaka, poured his extraordinary energy and ideas into the new stage of the magazine---and he was not afraid to show them off. Since its publication, it has never been collected, and its existence was unknown among fans and researchers alike, with the exception of a few, so you can only read this fantastic gem, "Yajiuma March" (93 pages) here! Contents: Yajiuma March" Serialized from September 1970-February 1971 issues of "Second Grader" (Shogakusei Ninnen). A very unique slapstick comedy depicting the surrealistic upheaval caused by a human-horse hybrid, Umataro of Yaji's House!

Teenage delinquent Yaketpachi's has a spectral woman as the closest thing to a female influence in his life: Maria! The manifestation of the women Yaketpachi lacks in his life, Maria needs a body to become corporeal, but the only thing around is a sex doll, which is easily ravaged by a hard life and the target of rough pranks. Yaketpachi and Maria are joined at the soul, but ripped apart by an uncaring society. How much strain can Maria's plastic body take before it cracks beyond repair? Yaketpachi may want to move heaven and Earth to provide a life for Maria, but do teenagers truly know love?Osamu Tezuka brings the battle of the sexes to a paranormal comedy, where Yaketpachi and Maria explore their teenage years in High School, with all the trials and tribulations that come with it. There's the queen bee of the school to tussle with, a dating club that heavily skews towards one gender (and against Yaketpachi), and even rival spirits out to earn their own revenge against their accidental deaths! Yaketpachi's Maria continues to prove to be a love letter to young love, with all the faults and flaws that are inherent. Tezuka brings a healthy dose of real-world sexual education to the drama of a love that can never be between a man and his sex doll.Volumes 268 and 269 of the Osamu Tezuka Complete Works

A work of two parts: the second never finished due to the magazine suspending publication.Part 1 (Vol 1-3): "Long, long ago, humans lived almost the same as beasts… If you got hungry, you could just find something to kill and eat it. If someone attacked you, kill them too. Everything was kill to survive, kill to survive. Then people started acting smart and making laws. The laws kept them from doing pretty much everything they wanted to do. Beasts, on the other hand, still have no laws, or etiquette. I predict the day will come when an almost mutant breed of humans will appear, sinking to the level of beasts for freedom… Here, I will call them Vampires…"A young boy, Toppei, visits Osamu Tezuka at his anime studio, Mushi Pro, one morning imploring Tezuka to hire him. Tezuka hires Toppei, who makes himself an active part of the team, but as time goes on, the Mushi Pro staff begin to pick up on Toppei's bizarre tendencies...Part 2 (Vol 4): A certain fellow has made it out of the events of Part 1, now set on using a newly introduced species, the Weko, to attain domination. The Weko, the natural foil to the Vampires, are a dying species. Past and present are interweaved, explaining the history and sightings of the Weko, as one of them finds himself wrapped up in that man's scheme...Tezuka's parody of Shakespeare's Macbeth.Volumes 142-144, 320 of the Osamu Tezuka Complete Works

Invited to Nazi Germany during World War II, Dr. Asagumo is asked by Hitler to collaborate with him on the research of the new weapon "Big X". Concerned about the possible effects of the completion of Big X, Dr. Asagumo intentionally delays the progress of the research, conspiring with his co-researcher, the devious Dr. Engel. Immediately before Germany is defeated by the Allies, Dr. Asagumo implants a card inscribed with the secret of Big X in his son, Shigeru, and is then shot to death by the German army. Twenty years later, the card is discovered in the body of Shigeru, who is then living in Tokyo. Soon, an organization claiming alliance with the Nazis appears, steals the card, and completes the Big X project. Dr. Engel's grandson has joined the Nazi Alliance. The earliest incarnation of what would eventually become Tezuka’s epic masterpiece, Phoenix \[Manga Shonen] (1954-55) was Tezuka’s follow-up series to the popular Jungle Emperor (1950-54) in Manga Shonen. It began publication in July 1954 and ran until the magazine folded in May 1955, unfortunately leaving the work unfinished after just nine chapters. In a mythical age of ancient Japan, Nagi Iza, a young boy living on one of the southern islands, is on a quest to find the legendary Phoenix and save his dying father. Believing the magical healing properties of the blood of the mysterious bird is the only way to cure his father, Nagi sets off on a mission to climb up Fire Mountain, a local volcano and the home of the Phoenix.

Tezuka also did Picture Books in addition to Manga. Unfortunately, these were not collected under the original Manga Complete Works but were reprinted by fukkan.com as a 3 Volume set. Also contents from Volume 2 were included in the Tezuka Uncollected Manga Works Bunko. (from fukkan.com): Osamu Tezuka's "Fairy Tales for Children" are being reprinted for the first time in 60 years in a three-volume picture book series! The children's stories made by Osamu Tezuka from the 1950s and 1970s are now available in a new picture book format. The reprinting of the book was made possible by the wish of Tezuka's eldest daughter, Rumiko Tezuka, to "let everyone know the heartwarming 'world of Tezuka,' which is different from manga and filled with love and warmth. This time, the works that were once published in magazines are included in a new layout designed for picture books. This series will satisfy both children who love animals and Tezuka fans. Contains the following works: Hurry, Mimi-chan! (あわてみみちゃん, Awate, Mimi-chan) 1952, Kodansha's First Grade Collection - Mimi-chan, a rabbit who is always in a panic, creates a big commotion involving her friends in the forest! Osamu Tezuka wanted children to "learn about the changing seasons and the ecology of animals in a nature. Serves as the basis for the Tezuka character "Rabbi-chan" which was collected in Wansa-kun. Suzumushi-hime (すずむしひめ, ENG. - Princess Cricket) 1956, 2nd Grader -Suzu-chan is very good at ringing bells and singing songs. But when Suzu-chan won the music concert at the castle Suzu-chan became a princess, and now she can't leave the castle. We have to Save Suzu-chan...! In addition to the title story, there is also "Mom's Feet" (1952, Kodansha - Shojo Club) an excellent story about a mother's love, and and "Birdcall Girl" (1954, Kodansha - Shojo Club) a beautiful story of friendship between a little bird and a little girl. Suzumushi-hime and Birdcall Girl are also included in the Tezuka Uncollected Manga Works Nosy Pride Ele-chan (おはなじまんのえれちゃん, Ohanjiman no Ele-chan) 1961, Shonen Gahosha - Ele-chan, an elephant who joined the camp, is proud of his long nose. He is so proud of it that he does not listen to his friends. However, something terrible happened to his precious nose! In addition to the title story, there is "Futatsu no Momonomi" (1975, Sanrio - Strawberry Picture Books) which makes you think about the meaning of "happiness" for the first time in a single volume, and "Kitsune no Kitsune Kuromo," a story about a fox cub born in winter. Kuroamimi-chan,"(Parts 1 & 2: 1956, Gakken - 2nd Elementary School) which depicts the growth of Kurokimi, a fox cub born in winter.

It is the 21st century, and technology has progressed further than humanity itself could imagine.2003, Tobio, the son of the head of the Ministry of Science, is killed in an accident. Mad from his grief, his father, Dr. Tenma, orders immediately the construction of a new, robot Tobio - a child of science. While initially delighted at seeing his son reborn, gradually Tenma grew fed up at the fact that this new Tobio could not age and grow. In this newfound frustration, he sold him off to a robot circus. There 'Tobio' was given the new name Atom (Astro Boy).Later, he would be taken in by Professor Ochanomizu, who serves as his guardian.Human-robot conflict occurs over and over again, and is a major driving force. Atom never gets appreciation for his work in stopping plots and conspiracies on the international and even intergalactic scale solely because he is a robot. The authorities doubt him because he is a robot. And as a robot, he has difficulty fully connecting with not just the humans around him (like his school friends), but even his robot family.Atom's serialization was unfinished, as the magazine it was in ceased publication. While there was content for Atom after this, the narrative never properly concluded.Official EnglishVolumes 221-238, 240-242, 251 and 252 of the Osamu Tezuka Complete Works

(from TezukaOsamu.net ) "Tuberculosis" depicts the adventures of Kenichi and his uncle, Mr. Mustachio, inside a boy's body. After being injected with a drug called ZX that was discovered by Mustachio, Kenichi and his uncle have shrunk and become very small. When they enter the body of a boy and reach his lung, they find that tubercle bacilli (bacteria) are opening a big hole in the boy's lung. Tubercle bacilli send Mode (a tubercle bacillus), a daughter of Dr. Iyoa (also a tubercle bacillus), to Kenichi and Mustachio to learn the human language. The two make friends with Mode, but a war breaks out between the tubercle bacilli and the commandos in the boy's brain, and the two become involved in the war. Published as a tankoban, Tuberculose is an early work of Tezuka's that has not been collected in any edition of the complete works, nor reprinted along with others in the Fukkan Early Masterpiece Selection boxsets. A second attempt at the work was done by Tezuka in the form of Monsters on the 38th Parallel.

Patients disappeared one after another from a mental hospital. Led by Drome, a wizard from Arabia, as president, the Yokai Club is a group of psychopaths, monsters, and ghosts, all of whom have been ostracized by ordinary people. They take mentally ill patients out of the hospital and induct them as new members. Ken-chan, the nephew of the director of the hospital, Mr. Mustachio, infiltrates the Yokai Club and learns of their goal of turning the world's people completely crazy. Ken-chan escapes from the club and meets Sachiko Sarutobi, the girl they are after, and tells her about the plans of the Yokai Club. Sachiko has an abnormal constitution inherited from her ancestors, which allows her to use ninjutsu. The Yokai Club creates a series of incidents that drive the people of the world insane. Drome's evil influence extends to Mr. Mustachio, but then Sachiko appears, and a showdown between Sachiko's ninjutsu and Drome's magic begins. Another early work of Tezuka's that was omitted from all editions of the complete works and only received periodic reprints under Sun Comics, due to issues in which the contents of the manga could be seen as offensive. The manga can be found in the Gordon W. Prange Collection and is available as a digital resource at the National Diet Library and the International Library of Children's Literature.

Tezuka completely redrew this from memory for the Tezuka 400 when this version was presumed lost. It was later rediscovered and collected in the Tezuka bunko. The young Pete jumps aboard a ship captained by a friend of his late father. With a treasure map he left behind in his hands, he and the captain embark on an adventure to hunt it down. However, pesky pirates - like Bowarl and his crew - get in the way, also seeking the treasure for themselves! What sort of island is Treasure Island? And who will get the treasure first? Sakai is credited for the 'story' of this edition due to the many cuts and alterations he made, including the ending of the manga. Tezuka was not pleased with his edits, and did not consider it a work he did by himself. When collected in the Complete Works, the original was presumed lost, so Tezuka redrew the whole work from memory, restoring the cuts (such as Peter Pan). This edition is more of a 2/3koma compared to the 1984 definitive edition, which is a 4Koma.

A manga work that Tezuka made when he was only 10 years old. Finally discovered and collected by 888 Books (who handles Yoichi Yokoyama's Gekiga) and published mid 2022. (from fukkan.com) A major event in the history of manga! Many of the fantastic studies drawn by the young Osamu Tezuka are finally revealed in their entirety! All works are included for the first time in a book, the ultimate collection of Tezuka manga that no one has ever seen before! About this book: This book is a collection of Osamu Tezuka's treasured manga, mainly "Mama Detective Story", which he made between the ages of 10 and 15. It is a collection of existing short and medium-length stories featuring the mysterious creature "Mama", some of which have been published and exhibited in mooks and exhibitions, but the full story has remained unknown. Since his debut work "The Diary of Ma-chan" Osamu Tezuka published numerous works throughout his life, but the creation itself dates back to his earlier childhood. Although his drawings were initially done in the style of reproductions and kamishibai he created original characters as early as when he was in elementary school. Especially famous are the many unidentified and mysterious creatures that interrupt the panels without regard to the development of the story, the first of which is the Hyotantsugi, followed by the mysterious "Mama" creature, which leaves a strong impression on the reader. In "Mama Detective Story" which the young Tezuka drew for several years starting in 1938 when he was 10 years old (two works in existence), Mama played the leading role in an imposing manner and displayed a detective-like quality reminiscent of Mr. Mustachio who followed.

Haight and Andrews are successful engineers working for a company on the verge of developing a history-making breakthrough on nanotechnology; however, when Haight discovers a new technology that will help people live better and cure a few diseases, Andrews decides to use this technology for military purposes. Aware of his intentions, Haight resigns from the company taking all the documents and research about his discovery with him. Andrews becomes angry at this and prepares a trap for Haight. Andrews and his five maniac sidekicks brutally torture Haight and kill his loved ones, then sever both his arms and leave him for dead. Luckily Haight is rescued by a mysterious doctor and his assistant. Both men are experimenting with the strange power of "The Zetsmos," which is the ability to control the ghost inside the body while one is still alive. Reports of people that had their limbs severed confirm that they can still "feel and move" their limbs even if they are not there, but with the Natural power of the Zetsmos, the body can assimilate any kind of materia and make it part of the body (such as wood, paper, water, metal, etc.) and recreate the limb that was gone. However, awakening the Zetsmos is a painful and dangerous process; the bearer has to put himself between life and death to awaken it. But Haight will stop at nothing to hunt down those that made his life a living hell, and he's determined to use the mysterious power to carry on his revenge. Wikipedia Italian Japanese

The Mighty Atom Club magazine was launched after the grand success of the 1963 anime, "Mighty Atom" (Astro Boy). It was a part of the official fan club: "Mushi Productions Tomo no Kai (Friends Association)". It disbanded after Mighty Atom's initial airing on TV in late 1966. Based on Tezuka Osamu's manga series "Jungle Emperor" from 1950, one-shots started to appear in the magazine in March of 1966 (Vol. 20-28). Drawn by Tezuka's associates, these eight stories would later air as episodes from the first and second anime series. The Jungle Emperor chapters were never re-printed and stay exclusive to the original magazines.
