Lloyd, the assistant mage of the genius alchemist Ruby, has an abnormally low chance of gathering materials for alchemy use. Hence, he is treated as baggage and is made to be the bottom of the entire country's joke. Everyday is a day he is scolded by Ruby. It's become too much of a despairing environment that he's come to hate it. And so, he finally decided to part ways with her. However, unbeknownst to everyone was that the materials Lloyd gathered were all high-grade materials no one else could gather. The mage, who was treated as "incompetent" and saw himself as such, now aims for an ideal easygoing life!

Untitled review

Overall mundane and boring. Summary basically says it all, but to describe a few more things: MC goes out and gets involved in this whole religious political fight because the girl he ends up falling for is a saint, they fight demons and eventually win, friend goes off and tries to get him back but sides with the demons and gets her ass kicked, then she learns the value of not being an ass and goes off on a journey. MC confesses, it's mutual. THE END. You've got better to read. Art isn't bad, but there's nothing...

Nothing Amazing, But Not Bad

This story doesn't do anything particularly special, but I don't think it's a waste of time to read. The MC is a doormat due to years of abuse from his chosen partner, an alchemist who grew up in the same orphanage as the MC and worked up to the point where she's a famous alchemist in their kingdom. The MC eventually reaches his breaking point and leaves to become an adventurer, leaving the alchemist's atelier to plummet in quality as she is no longer getting fed high quality materials from the guy she didn't real...
