  • A dramatic adaptation of French literary giant Alexandre Dumas's masterpiece, "The Count of Monte Cristo" -
The epic revenge classic was recreated in a manga magazine by Ikki Kajiwara and Jo Kagemaru, who later collaborated on works such as Karate Baka Ichidai and Giant's Samurai Flame. Also. They serialized Melville's "Moby Dick'' in "Weekly Shonen Magazine''
in 1968, and this is their second work to adapt a classic into a graphic novel. Ikki Kajiwara, who uses sports and martial arts as his subject matter to vividly portray the spirit and perseverance of the protagonist Edmond Dantes,
Expressing anger, Joya Kagemaru makes you feel the strength in each frame with a realistic and tense graphic novel... That story is "Revengeki,'' which was serialized in "Weekly Shonen King'' in 1969. This reprint includes Joya Kagemaru's short stories ``The Man Who Came from the Graveyard'' and "Giant Mask.'' This is a work that will move readers' hearts without sacrificing the charm of the original work.
