Kentaro Miura spent decades drawing the most detailed, brutal, and beautiful manga ever made then died before finishing it. Guts is the most compelling protagonist in all of fiction. The Eclipse arc will rearrange your brain chemistry permanently. The art is inhuman. Gone. Unfinished. Irreplaceable. 11/10 Not a manga. A wound.

Berserk is my favorite manga, and honestly one of the most important pieces of media I’ve ever experienced. There are stories that entertain you, help you pass the time, or maybe leave a small impact on you. And then there are stories that actually change you as a person. Berserk is one of those.
